What is XSEED?

What is XSEED? BY XSEED

Your child's school is using SuperTeacher by XSEED, a comprehensive school program that builds thinking skills and problem-solving confidence in children. It does this through a combination of research-based curriculum and content, simple but powerful technology tools, rigorous teacher training, and skill-focused assessment tools. The SuperTeacher program builds a solid foundation for competitive exams, college, and careers in the 21st century.

What is XSEED?

THE XSEED METHOD

The SuperTeacher program is powered by the XSEED Method of teaching and learning. This 5-step method ensures that every class is a thinking class -- with opportunities to actually do hands-on activities, reflect on topics, ask questions of their own and write in their own words. Children studying with the XSEED Method speak well in English, solve problems with confidence, express themselves well in writing, and score well on tests.

XSEED LEARNOMETER
ADMIT CARD

The XSEED Learnometer Skills Test is an annual computer-based test of skills for students in Grades 1-8, which is administered in November. The admit card will give your child access to the test for the coming academic year.

HOW TO USE THE SUPERTEACHER PROGRAM AT HOME

The SuperTeacher system is designed to make it extremely easy for parents and teachers to guide children and even track progress. Learning one concept a day in each subject can help the child cover the entire program at a healthy pace through the year.

CHECK-IN ON YOUR CHILD

Log into the SuperTeacher Universal app daily to see the homework your child's teacher has assigned, see their latest academic results, and stay informed about any school-related events. View regular articles and videos shared by SuperTeacher for tips on helping your child succeed academically.

READ & UNDERSTAND

Read to understand one concept at a time, strengthen reading skills, and build vocabulary, using the Content Book and Word Work book. You may choose to read along with your child and help with new words or concepts. Encourage them to write down, look up, and use new vocabulary. Your child can also review the solved examples as they read.

PRACTICE

Solve the questions in the student application workbook. Each worksheet ends with a higher-order thinking question as a special challenge. Encourage your child to attempt worksheets on their own. Practice skills and concepts further through Practice Questions at the end of each Block in the Content Book and Grammar Guide.

CAPTURE THE CONCEPTS

Use My Learning Chart in the Content Book and My Word Journal in the Word Work book to capture key concepts and vocabulary for easy reference later. These graphic organizers teach your child to independently organize their thoughts and also build writing, note-taking, and summarizing skills.

PROJECT WORK

Project work at the end of each Block helps students to apply what they have learned to a real-life problem through an interesting, hands-on experience. Many projects require interacting with family or community members. You may do these projects together with your child, or they may complete them independently.
